Due to scheduling conflicts, the City of Arkadelphia is making adjustments to its Yule Love Christmas In Arkadelphia event schedule.

Four events originally scheduled between Dec. 13-22 have been canceled.

The city will host two more holiday events on December 20 and 21 in Prancer’s Plaza, located at 800 Main Street.

On Wednesday, December 20, the city will host its “Sounds of Christmas” event as scheduled from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. This event will feature Perritt Primary’s Nickelodeon Choir, the Arkadelphia High School Cheer Team, story time with Arkadelphia’s Ace Collins, activities at Prancer Plaza’s storefronts and a hot chocolate booth with JavaPrimo.

The second and final event of the season will be hosted on Thursday, December 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. This event will still feature the city’s “Holiday Movie Night” showing The Polar Express. The event will now include holiday train rides, pictures with Santa, an ornament-making station and hot chocolate with JavaPrimo.

“December is such a busy time for our community,” Special Events Manager Halle Posey said. “We want to respect everything our schools, churches, businesses and organizations have planned, which led to our decision to consolidate the remaining events. We hope everyone understands and can join us next Wednesday and Thursday in Prancer’s Plaza!”
