The annual Christmas Parade drew scores of spectators to downtown Arkadelphia on a mild Thursday evening. The 2023 event saw some 80+ entries and floats.
From start to finish, residents were able to take in about an hour’s worth of entertainment as local businesses, organizations, clubs and marching bands presented the merry theme of Yule Love Christmas in Arkadelphia.
Afterward, the crowd was invited to take part in the second annual Yule Love Christmas in Arkadelphia events at Prancer’s Plaza, where they were treated to holiday-themed goodies and community fellowship.
The Arkadelphia Parade Committee on Friday announced the winners:
Decorated Vehicles:
- 1st: Vivid Floors by JF Installations
- 2nd: DNR Dumpster
- 3rd: Winner’s Circle #66
Education and School Floats:
- 1st: Perritt Primary School
- 2nd: CADC Headstart
- 3rd: Peake Elementary School
- 4th: Goza Middle School
Industry & Business Floats:
- 1st: Brown Machinery
- 2nd: Group Living Inc.
- 3rd: Baptist Health Medical Center
Church Floats:
- 1st: First United Methodist Church
- 2nd: St. Mary’s Catholic Church
- 3rd: Greater Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church
Bands:
- 1st (tie): Arkadelphia High School, Henderson State University, Ouachita Baptist University
