Betty Adcock

Betty Sue Adcock, 90, of Sherwood, Arkansas, formerly of Magnolia, Arkansas and Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Willow Grove Assisted Living in Sherwood surrounded by her family.

She was born June 1, 1933, in Arkadelphia, the twelfth child of Hampton and Birdie Sellers.  She worked for Levi Strauss and Hollywood Vasserette in Arkadelphia for several years, then she became a homemaker in the Hearn community.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion Golden and her second husband, Charles Lindel Adcock.

Left to cherish her memory is her son: Timothy Golden (Lisa) of Quitman, Arkansas; her grandchildren: Charles Golden, Chad Wyatt, Shanna Jackson, Kenley Clayton, all of Heber Springs and Courtney Smith and Westley Clayton of Tumbling Shoals.  She had six very special great grandchildren: AdaLynn Wyatt, Kimberlee Jackson, Colton Jackson, Karlee Wyatt, Andrea Lopez and Ryleigh Clayton. 

Over the past few years, she had been lovingly cared for by her nieces: Doris McCown of Magnolia and Phyllis Goff (Glenn) of Sherwood.  She has many other nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 10, 2023, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Mike Ward and Justin Clark officiating.

Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia.

Pallbearers will be David Golden, Frank Adcock, Eddie Davis, Kenny Sutton, Jason Clark and Glenn Goff.
