David Kenneth Thomason, age 70, of Donaldson passed from this life on Sunday October 29, 2023, at CHI St. Vincent’s in Hot Springs. He was born November 11, 1952 in Arkadelphia to Carroll and Emma Nell Voss Thomason.

David worked in Law Enforcement for over thirty years, serving in several positions such as Deputy Sheriff, Caddo Valley Police Chief, Rockport Police Chief, Law Enforcement instructor, and firearms instructor.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, John and Euncie Thomason, and George and Mary Voss, his father Carroll Thomason, and one sister Sheri Moore.

David is survived by his mother, Emma Nell Thomason, his wife of fifty two years Patty Thomason, two sons, Brandon Thomason (Poy) of Chang-Mai, Thailand, and Nathan Thomason (Paula) of Midway, three grandsons, Jesse Thomason (Darshana) of Los Angeles, California, Joshua Thomason (Alyx) of North Little Rock, and Karter Thomason of Malvern, one granddaughter, Hailey Thomason of Malvern, and one great grandson we will get to meet in March, Liam Thomason and one sister, Marilyn (Donald) Morrison.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday November 1, 2023, at Neighbors Cemetery in Midway with Bro Alan Cansler officiating.

Visitation will be at 1:00 PM until service time at the Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Daniel Cannon, Jacob Cannon, Andrew Cannon, Mike Thomason, Phil McMahan, and Tommy Hobbs.
