Eddie Harper Colclasure, age 91, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his home. He was born on February 27, 1932, in Lonoke the son of the late Liam and Lola Sanders Colclasure.

Eddie spent many years working as a meat salesman for Taylor Brothers and later as a mechanic and service station owner. He was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and a member of Arkadelphia Masonic Lodge #381 for fifty-nine years.  Eddie enjoyed teaching Sunday school class and serving the masonic lodge.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and his foster parents, George and Viola McWhorter. 

Eddie is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Betty Churchwell Colclasure of Arkadelphia, one son, Ronnie Colclasure (Kay) of Greenbrier, AR, one daughter, Sandra Colclasure (Dan) of McHenry, IL, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Monday, October 9, 2023, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Sanders officiating. Masonic rites were conducted by members of Arkadelphia Masonic Lodge #381.

Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

Interment was at Hamilton Cemetery in Carlisle.
