Evelyn Campbell, age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Arkansas Hospice at CHI St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock. She was born December 2, 1937, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late James Douglas and Frances Elizabeth Wilson Nix.
Evelyn was a 1954 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia. Evelyn enjoyed crafting in her free time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Louis Howell.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Campbell of Arkadelphia, her son, Steven Howell (Sonia) of Johnson City, TX, one sister, Marty Gore of Arkadelphia, step-son, Charles Campbell, grandchildren, Jeremy Yeaman (Taylor), Jason Yeaman (Jill), Candace Edwards (Nathan), Megan Howell, Eric Howell and Elle Howell, great grandchildren, Allyson Yeaman, Jensyn Yeaman, Austin Yeaman, Jude Yeaman, Caleb Edwards and Parker Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 25, 2023, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Zeke Allen officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at the church.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Wasson, Virles Wasson, Don Thompson, William Durand, Paul Hankins and Don Collins.
