Real Estate: 7 Clark County properties change hands

Clark County real estate transactions recorded Aug. 31 through Sept. 7 having a value of $100,000 or greater. Information is gathered from public records held by the Clark County Circuit Clerk, online real estate records via actdatascout.com and the Arkansas Secretary of State. The Arkadelphian includes names of grantees, grantors, transaction price and property description available, and does not withhold names.

Highlighting this round of real estate transactions is the $285,220 sale of a two-story home and acreage on Cedar Grove Road, in the DeGray community. Percy Malone, doing business as Malone Real Estate LLC, purchased the 4,618-SF brick home and 6.29 acres of pasture from James Pruitt, doing business as Diamond P Investments. Pruitt purchased the property from Malone in 2021 for $200,000.

For $220,000 Phillip and Pamela Shuffield bought a 1,707-SF brick home on 8.39 acres of pasture, with a pond, at the 3600 block of Pine Street, in Arkadelphia. Previous owners were Carl and Francis Maxwell, and online records show the deed was transferred to Edgar Wilbur on Sept. 6.

Cade and Hannah Beckwith purchased a 1,809-SF brick home at the 1700 block of Millcreek Drive, in Arkadelphia, for $220,000 from Steven and Elizabeth Smart. The Smart family paid $67,500 for the property in 1992.

For $187,000 Micah and Richard Resnick bought a 2,056-SF brick home at the 1900 block of Center Street, in Arkadelphia. Previous owners Charles and Donna Gatlin, et al, paid $78,000 for the home in 2020.

Dustin Benish and Kimberly Schooley purchased a 1,276-SF frame siding home on Paradise Circle, in Caddo Valley, for $171,900. Louis and Darla Jackson bought the lot for $7,000 in 2014 and erected the home.

For $130,000 Mark and Jennifer Green and Kori Walker bought 16.13 acres of timber on Gladys Road, north of Highway 8 and east of Amity. The property, previously owned by Gregory Henthorn, last sold in 2022 for $187,000.

Alice McMillan purchased a 1,372-SF low-cost frame siding home at the 1000 block of South 12th Street, in Arkadelphia, for $130,000. Previous owner, Charlie Montgomery Jr., doing business as Montgomery Home Improvement LLC, paid $140,000 for the home in 2022; it had previously sold for $32,000 in 2018.
