CORAL SPRINGS, Florida — Gracen Blount, Jinna Boonbumroongsuk, Allie Bianchi and Lily Nelson were named to the 2022-23 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. Since 2020, the HSU women’s golf program has seen 10 names come across the prestigious academic list. Between 2008-2019, the Reddies only had three women receive the honor.
The Scholar Team is comprised of 1,457 women’s collegiate golfers across all divisions, with a total of 393 programs represented. The criteria for selection includes having an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, having been an amateur and on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season and having played in 50 percent of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year of nomination.
Blount, Boonbumroongsuk and Bianchi claim All-American status for the second time since the completion of the 2022-23 season after having been named All-America for their play on the course from the same publication. Bianchi was also named a 2022-23 College Sports Communicators First Team Academic All-American along with the GAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Boonbumroongsuk, Bianchi and Lily Nelson return to the program for another year in 2023-24 after helping lead the Reddie women to their best finish in program history with a trip to the National Semifinals.
