Officials in Caddo Valley have chosen Lt. Ashley Collier to lead the Caddo Valley Police Department.
Collier, who is the sister of outgoing Chief Aaron Collier, was picked from a group of several candidates and accepted the position on Monday, July 10, Caddo Valley Mayor Joe Jackson confirmed. The decision was to be officially announced at the city council’s July meeting.
Aaron Collier is leaving the department after 11 years, having taken a job with Arkansas Highway Police.
Ashley Collier started her career in law enforcement in 2010 at the Garland County Sheriff’s Office, where she initially worked as a jailor before joining the patrol division as a deputy sheriff. She was part of that agency’s Special Response Team and eventually worked her way up to the Criminal Investigation Division.
In 2015 she joined the Clark County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy sheriff. She has been at the CVPD for seven years.
“I’m super excited to be here,” Ashley Collier said about leading the department. “I love serving Caddo Valley.”
The Hot Springs native is a third-generation law enforcement officer.
