A vehicle rollover accident Saturday on state Highway 48 near Carthage claimed the life of a Leola man.
Lacedric Ruth was traveling westbound in a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup and left the highway in a left-hand curve, colliding with a group of trees before the vehicle overturned at least twice, according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary. The pickup came to a final rest on its driver’s side facing north along the eastbound roadside ditch of the highway.
Ruth, 24, was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center in Malvern.
The accident happened at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023, under clear skies and on dry roads, according to investigating trooper Cpl. Greg Rowland.
