Clark County Retired Teachers would like to say thanks to all the businesses, groups and individuals who brought in cereal or money for the Summer Cereal Drive. All of your efforts and assistance with this community project are sincerely appreciated.

Tom Brannon, KTHV 11’s chief meteorologist, said he was impressed with the amount of actual boxes brought in to feed the families in Clark County.

So far 2,700 boxes have been collected, in addition to monetary donations. That includes about 1,400 boxes that were distributed to the Enrichment Food Pantry, the Ecumenical Food Pantry, the Gurdon Food Pantry, and the Lighthouse Ministries so they can support the many families who are food insecure. The Arkansas Food Bank will use the $1,300 to purchase 1,300 boxes of breakfast items to pass on to other areas as needed.
