The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, April 2
3:41 a.m.
Brady Owen Marple, 20, of Altus, Oklahoma, was arrested at Sonic Drive-In for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, and minor in possession of alcohol. The arresting officer found Marple passed out in a vehicle parked at the restaurant.

1:05 p.m.
Malika Joanna Hendrix, 28, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at Walmart for shoplifting $353 worth of merchandise.

2:45 p.m.
A landlord reported being shoved to the ground while collecting rent at a Crawford Street residence. The aggressor was visiting a tenant. No arrest was made.

Saturday, April 1
1:40 a.m.
Marquez Donell Johnson, 19, of Malvern, was arrested for fleeing at the 1200 block of North 10th Street, where the arresting officer came upon a parked Chrysler sedan “sitting sideways” in the middle of the street. A foot pursuit began as the officer approached the vehicle. The chase ended once the officer deployed a Taser, as Johnson fell into a shrub. He was armed with a pistol and was in possession of marijuana. The driver fled north in the vehicle during the course of the foot pursuit; there was no further mention of the vehicle in the report.

1:56 a.m.
Corey Davis, 46, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at 16th and Gresham streets for third-degree domestic battery following a report and subsequent investigation of abuse by a Richardson Street woman.

Friday, March 31
Officers took an “information only” report involving a juvenile.

The theft of a green Honda ATV was reported at a Graysonia Road hunting club.

Saturday, April 1
2:38 p.m.
A deputy responded to a domestic disturbance between a man and woman at a Snyder Road residence.

Arrests in Clark County

Friday, March 31
Anahi Chevales, 31, was arrested for failure to comply with probation.

Kyle Johnston, 29, was arrested for failure to comply with probation.

Ylan Jacobs, 25, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for three counts of failure to appear.
