Brother Gregory Sims was born on April 5, 1973, in Gurdon, AR to Floyd Sims and Shirley (Hawthorne) Sims. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City, AR., worked numerous jobs, and his favorite hobby was football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. 

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donnie and Clara Sims, and maternal grandparents, James and Fannie Hawthorne.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife Vanessa Sims, of Gurdon, AR; parents, Floyd and Shirley Sims, of Gurdon, AR; 2 brothers, Christopher (Cindy) Sims, of Prescott, AR, and Cameron Sims of Jacksonville, AR; and a host of aunts uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a special friend/brother Dale Smith. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2023, at the funeral home from 12 noon- 5:00 P.M. The funeral will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023,  at 11:00 P.M. at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, in Gurdon, AR where Pastor Johnny Harris will serve as eulogist and Pastor Lewis Page will officiate. The burial and final resting place will be at Saint John Cemetery in Bluff City, AR.
