Mole/gopher control, wild hog workshops planned in March

The Clark County Cooperative Extension Service is hosting two events in March 2023 to educate citizens on how to control vermin on their property.

Mole and Gopher Control Workshop

A Mole and Gopher Control Workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 8, at 12 noon at the Conference Center of Dawson Building #4, 711 Clinton St., Arkadelphia.

If you have trouble with moles ruining your lawn with tunnels or with gophers eating your plant roots and creating mounds in your lawn, come learn the most effective ways of controlling them. This workshop is free to the public.

Feral Hog Control Clinic

There will be a Feral Hog Control Clinic hosted on Thursday, March 16, at the Clark County Training Center, located at 35 McClellan Blvd., Arkadelphia. The clinic will begin at 6 p.m.

Come learn about feral hog biology, legal aspects, resources, and trapping options available. The clinic is free, but dinner will be served, so please call the Extension Service at 870-246-2281 by March 10 to register for the meal count.
