The City of Arkadelphia’s Parks and Recreation department is excited to host its first round of “Puppy Yoga” classes.
The four-week session will meet Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Recreation Center, starting on March 7. Classes will cost $5 to attend with part of the proceeds benefitting local shelters and foster groups. Donations will also be accepted at each class.
ABOUT THE CLASS
Sponsored by Greg Vardaman Law Firm, Puppy Yoga is designed to increase flexibility, tone/strengthen muscles and reduce stress.
Participants will be led through a variety of yoga poses and movements while the puppies wander from mat to mat. The dogs will be incorporated into some of the yoga movements.
The Humane Society of Clark County, Arkadelphia and Cuddle Puppies Rescue will provide the puppies for this class. Participants are not allowed to bring their own puppies, dogs and/or other pets to the class.
