ARKADELPHIA — The Ouachita Baptist University football team has revealed its 2023 schedule, which features six home games to be played at Cliff Harris Stadium.
The 2023 regular season once again features a full 11-game Great American Conference slate.
For the eighth straight season, the opener will be played on a weeknight, this time on Thursday, August 31 on the road against Southwestern Oklahoma State for the annual Paul Sharp Cup. For the second straight year, the Tigers will play a second Thursday night game, this time on the road against Southern Nazarene on October 26.
The first of six home games is set for Saturday, September 9 against Northwestern Oklahoma State. Homecoming is set for Saturday, September 30 against Southeastern Oklahoma State. The annual Ouachita football alumni day is set for Saturday, October 21 against Arkansas Tech. Senior Day will be held on Saturday, November 4 against Oklahoma Baptist. The 96th Battle of the Ravine will be back at Cliff Harris Stadium in 2023 on Saturday, November 11 against cross-street rival Henderson State.
Ouachita will be seeking its 15th consecutive winning season in 2023. The Tigers went 11-1 in 2022, highlighted by an undefeated regular season, the program’s sixth GAC championship, and an appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs. The 14 consecutive winning seasons is the longest active streak among all college football teams in the state of Arkansas.
