Jennifer Kaylynne Abernathy, age 48, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock. She was born April 6, 1974, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of Truman Patrick Spradlin and Sheryl Good Gardner.

Jennifer was a 1992 graduate of Kilgore High School. She was a homemaker, wife and mother.  Jennifer was a member of Whelen Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed canning, cooking, gardening, enjoying the great outdoors and caring for her kids, nieces and nephews. 

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father and her mother in law, Judith Marie Tucker.

Survivors are her mother, Sheryl Gardner, her husband, Jason Abernathy of Gurdon, two daughters, Olivia Grace and Maggie Marie both of Gurdon, one brother, Robert Wade Simmons of Traskwood, three sisters, Janie Morrison (Brian) of Story, Pam Kuyper (Clark) of Arkadelphia and Sheryl Patrice Judd (Brad) of Friendship.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced.
