Harrel ‘Don’ Runyan

Harrel “Don” Runyan, 81, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away January 4, 2023.

He was born May 12, 1941 in Amity, Arkansas, to the late Harrel and Estell Adcock Runyan. Don married his wife, Jane Wilkinson Runyan, in 1972, sharing 50 years of marriage. Don served his country by serving in the 39th Infantry Division of the Arkansas National Guard. Don worked for ABF in the Little Rock office for 32 years, retiring in 1992. After his retirement, he went to work as a sales associate for Francis RV and RV City in Benton.

Don leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Jane; his brothers, Jack (Paulette) Runyan of Benton, Travis Runyan (Jan) of Hot Springs, and Jim (Inez) of Glenwood; four nephews; two nieces; 11 cousins; and special friends, Brian Ahart of Austin,
Texas, and Michelle Ahart Cannon of Needville, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tim Evans and Rev. Jerry Fagan officiating. A graveside service will be held at Sweet Home Cemetery in Amity following the service at 1:30 p.m.
