
Eddie was born on April 14, 1959, to Elizabeth Nelson in Panther Burn, Mississippi. Eddie was a graduate of Simmons High School in Panther Burn, Mississippi. He was a modest man who enjoyed the simple pleasures that life offered. In his spare time, Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, and perfecting his talent as a Grill Master.
Eddie passed peacefully on the afternoon of December 19, 2022, after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life.
He leaves fond memories in the hearts of his wife of 41 years, Iredell Taylor of Arkadelphia; his children, Kayla Taylor of Conway, and Eddie Jr. of Austin, Texas; grandson, Jaylen Jones of Conway; five brothers, Otis Nelson Jr. of Arkadelphia, Jerry (Kelly) Taylor of Arkadelphia, Robert (Jerri Ann) Taylor of Milwaukee, Roscoe (Angela) Taylor of Milwaukee, and Roger (Shelia) Taylor of Mississippi; four sisters, Jeanette (James) Stewart of Arkadelphia, Rose M. Johnson of Arkadelphia, Ora Nelson of Arkadelphia, and Pearline Taylor of Chicago. He also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 140 Malvern Road, Caddo Valley. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
