Lady Badgers roll in blowout against Lady Knights

By ISAAC BOURNE | For The Arkadelphian

A Lady Badgers victory seemed imminent just three minutes into their contest Tuesday against the Centerpoint Lady Knights as the Badgers held a 10-2 lead. The Lady Badgers would go on to claim a 66-33 win over the Lady Knights.

“I feel like we set the tone early off the tip with just really being aggressive and attacking on both sides of the ball,” coach Jonathan Klein said about his team. “This allowed us to take advantage of some turnovers and push the pace to a level we like to play at.”

And push the pace they did, scoring 42 points as a team in the first half, more than the 33 points Centerpoint scored all night. Furthermore, on the other side of the ball, the defense just got better throughout the game, as they allowed a measly three points in the final quarter to the Lady Knights as they rolled to their fourth straight win on the season, making them 4-0.

“We played hard tonight against a very well-coached team, and I’m proud of the way our team played, but we have things to get better at,” Klein added.

The Lady Badgers will take this four-game winning streak into their game next Friday against the Lady Go-Devils of Gurdon, where they hope to continue their success.
