Group gives to Community Family Enrichment Center

The Senior Kappa Affairs Committee (SKAC) of the Hot Springs, Arkadelphia, Malvern (HAM) alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., recently received a competitive grant from the Kappa Alpha Psi International Foundation.

This year the HAM alumni chapter selected Arkadelphia’s Community Family Enrichment Center as its grant recipient. The CFEC partners with HAM and other organizations to address food insecurity in Clark County. Arkansas ranks second in the nation for food insecurity according to hunger statistics.

“We are so blessed as a fraternity to be able to plant seeds of encouragement and hope to members of our respective communities each year,” said Herman L. Thomas, SKAC grant chairman.

Dr. Jerry Thomas is chapter Polemarch (President) of the HAM chapter, and Lon Ware is financial secretary.
