ARKADELPHIA — The Ouachita Baptist University football team is set for its longest road trip of the 2022 season to take on Northwestern Oklahoma State University this Saturday, October 1 in Alva.

Saturday’s contest is Ouachita’s first afternoon game of the season. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Ranger Field.

The game will be broadcast live on the Ouachita Football Radio Network on affiliate stations all across the state of Arkansas with the pregame show taking the air at 1 p.m. NWOSU will provide live video and live statistics. Links can be found at www.OBUtigers.com/coverage.

Ouachita (4-0) is coming off a 21-13 win over then-ranked No. 7 Harding last Saturday at Cliff Harris Stadium. The win vaulted the Tigers to as high as No. 4 in the national rankings. Ouachita is ranked this week at No. 6 by the American Football Coaches Association, No. 4 by D2Football.com, and No. 5 in the NCAA.com D2 Power Rankings. The Tigers are alone at the top of the Great American Conference standings as the only unbeaten team in the league.

NWOSU (0-4) enters Saturday’s game as the only team in the GAC without a win. Most recently, the Rangers lost to East Central 31-3 this past Saturday on the road in Ada.

The Tigers lead the all-time series with the Rangers 10-3, and have won all nine meetings in the Great American Conference era.
