Robert Lynn Coplen, age 70, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born December 14, 1951, in El Dorado, the son of the late Wilbur “Bill” and Mary Ruth McCaskill Coplen. Robert was a graduate of Gurdon High School. He was a retired truck driver and worked parking lot security. Robert enjoyed visiting with family and friends in his free time each day.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cynthia Davidson; and two brothers, Phillip and Charlie Coplen.
Survivors are one daughter, Tracy Gills (Matthew) of Gurdon; three sons, Mickey Coplen (Jodi), Bobby Coplen (Trish) and Paul Williams, all of Gurdon; four sisters, Barbara Coplen of Arkadelphia, Mary Ellen Barfield of Nashville, Ruthie Bridges of Arkadelphia and Sherry Callison of Brown Springs; five grandchildren, Max, Kade, Kinnedy, McKenzie and Ganyn; two great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 26, at Rose Hill Cemetery at Sycamore with Bro. Donnie Deaton and Bro. Jeff Efird officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Welch Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Max Arnold, Kade Williams, Greg Arnold, Tommy Arnold, Mike McKenzie, Wesley Sparks, Jeff Barfield and Buck Childres.
