1 killed, 2 hurt in Arkadelphia rollover

A vehicle rollover Friday evening claimed the life of an Arkadelphia child and injured two others.

According to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash summary, Khadija Campbell, 28, of Arkadelphia, was traveling north on 15th Street in a 2003 Chevrolet SUV when she entered a curve “with too much speed.”

The vehicle, according to the report, skidded and left the roadway into the yard of a private residence at 1025 N. 15th St. The vehicle collided with an obstacle in the lawn causing it to overturn “multiple times” before striking a tree.

According to the report, the victim was ejected. The deceased was transported to Williams Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Campbell and another juvenile were transported to Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia for treatment to unknown injuries.

Weather and road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the 5:10 p.m. accident, according to investigating Trooper Kevin Hrabal.

Other agencies that responded included the Arkadelphia Police Department and Arkadelphia Fire Department.
