The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Thursday, July 21

10:41 p.m.
Police responded to a tree down on the porch of a 15th Street residence.

10 p.m.
A 15th Street woman reported damage to her vehicle.

9:40 p.m.
Police responded to the Baptist Health Medical Center emergency room, where two women were being treated for injuries after dogs at a local animal shelter got loose from their enclosures and became aggressive with other dogs. As the women attempted to pull the dogs apart, the women fell into the midst of the dogs and sustained several injuries.

9:04 p.m.
Police responded to multiple 911 hangups from a Caddo Street residence. Police located the caller, who said that an unknown person had attempted to open her back door and then fled into a wooded area behind the residence. The woman said that she had dropped her phone in the wooded area while pursuing the unknown person. Police checked the area with no results.

2:23 p.m.
Police responded to a report of theft of a cell phone and sandals at a local motel.

1:40 p.m.
A woman reported that someone stole her license plate and replaced it with a license plate belonging to another vehicle.

8:57 a.m.
A Hickory Street woman reported damage to her vehicle.

Thursday, July 21

12:21 p.m.
Deputies responded to a naked man in the roadway near the Highway 51 junction. Deputies located the man, who was standing still and observing traffic. The man said he was hot and did not want to go to Arkadelphia. Deputies arrested the man for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

7:33 a.m.
An inmate at the Clark County Detention Center reported that someone had accessed and taken money from his Cash App account while he was incarcerated.

4 a.m.
A woman requested that a deputy accompany her to her estranged ex-husband’s home to pick up her children.

Arrests

Wednesday, July 20

Bo Warren Young, 24, was arrested for failure to appear.

Alex Dewayne Gant, 42, was arrested for a warrant and absconding.

Thursday, July 21

Jonathan Jordan Hicks, 22, was arrested for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

Aaron McKinley Swayze, 28, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for failure to appear.
