Obituary: Clifton Lee Parker

Clifton Lee “Clif” Parker, age 81, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, July 11, 2022, at his home. He was born October 31, 1940, in Little Rock, the son of the late A.C. and Gladys O’Kelly Parker.

Clif was retired from Arkla Gas after 30 years of service. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. Clif enlisted in the United States Marine Corp at age 16. He served in the National Guard. Clif served on the Arkadelphia fire and rescue department for 17 years reaching the rank of lieutenant. His hobbies were chasing women, hunting, four wheeling, brush hogging and taking care of his yard.

Clif was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe and Gerald; two sisters, Mary and Joyce; and one infant sister.

Survivors are five daughters, Tara (Short) Karr (DeWayne), Mendy Taylor (Terry), Lori Parker, Jackie Mills and Misty Tedder; and nine grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Welch Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
