Two Arkadelphia men face felony charges after police allege they stole a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

James Robert Chittum, 63, and Christian Daniel Cain, 33, both of Arkadelphia, were charged last week with theft of property more than $25,000.

The charges stem from a report of a motorcycle stolen from the DeGray community on June 14. On June 20, police received a call from Josh Conant, owner of a mechanic shop in Malvern. According to an affidavit filed this week in the Clark County Circuit Clerk’s Office, Conant told detectives that Chittum and another man brought a 2010 motorcycle to the mechanic shop to be checked out.

Conant grew curious and searched Facebook for stolen Harley Davidson motorcycles and found a post about the motorcycle stolen from the DeGray community, according to the affidavit. Conant contacted police, who reviewed camera footage from the mechanic shop and identified Chittum and Cain. Cain has since been arrested and is in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. Cain also faces drug-related charges.
