ARKADELPHIA — Henderson State has released its 2022 football schedule, allowing fans the opportunity to follow the Reddies as they challenge for a Great American Conference title this fall.

2022 REDDIE FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

The Reddies, who posted back-to-back nine-win seasons in 2019 and 2021, will play six games inside the home confines of Carpenter-Haygood Stadium this year and five on the road in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

HSU opens the 2022 campaign at home when it faces Southwestern Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1 in the first-ever contest on the brand-new GeoSurfaces Field. The Reddies return on Saturday, Sept. 17 for Family Day and will host in-state foe Arkansas-Monticello at 6 p.m.

Henderson plays twice more in Arkadelphia during the month of October. HSU will recognize its 2022 Hall of Honor inductees when it faces Southeastern Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. on Oct. 1 and then hosts old AIC counterpart Arkansas Tech for Homecoming on Oct. 22 at 2 p.m.

The Reddies’ final home games come in the last two weeks of the regular season when they take on Oklahoma Baptist for Senior Day at 2 p.m. on Nov. 5 and welcome cross-street rival Ouachita Baptist in the 95th Battle of the Ravine at 2 p.m. on Nov. 12.

HSU will celebrate its annual Military and First Responders Appreciation Day alongside Battle of the Ravine festivities on Nov. 12, giving veterans, public servants and their families the opportunity to attend the greatest rivalry in DII football free of charge.
