The Arkadelphia Board of Education has called a special meeting Friday evening.

School board members will convene at 6 p.m. in the upstairs conference room of Dawson Building #3. If a quorum of at least four board members are present, the board will call an executive session to interview candidates for the superintendent position.

The school board on Monday met for two and a half hours in executive session to interview two candidates, Nikki Thomas and Marvin Burton.
