Dispatch Desk: Monday, May 2

The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Arkadelphia Police Department

Saturday, April 30

2:42 a.m.
A Country Club Road woman reported her boyfriend went missing in Sparkman. She said he had phoned her earlier saying he had run out of gas and was walking to a gas station and hadn’t heard back from him.

4:55 p.m.
Officers responded to McDonald’s for an altercation between two employees in the parking lot. The coworkers had words because one wanted to leave her shift and go home. That person was subsequently terminated for not lovin’ it at work.

7:02 p.m.
A woman reported being in a physical altercation with a known male. She suffered minor injuries and was treated for them. Police attempted to locate the suspect but were not successful.

Friday, April 29

5:33 p.m.
A Caddo Street man reported someone attempted to break into his vehicle overnight.

Officers worked a case of third-degree battery and disorderly conduct involving a juvenile.

5:56 p.m.
Officers arrested a woman at Walmart for criminal trespass. She had previously been banned from the store for life.

9:54 p.m.
A Mill Creek Apartments resident reported a delivery driver struck a carport beam and sped away after dropping off the customer’s food.

Sunday, May 1

8:33 a.m.
Deputies responded to a report of road rage on Interstate 30. The responding deputy was able to make contact with both drivers. The complainant said the suspect driver had given him the bird and brandished a firearm. The suspect driver admitted to giving him an “Alabama Hello” for cutting him off, but said the gun was actually a cell phone as he was signaling to the other driver he intended to phone police. The responding deputy let one driver go ahead to put some space between the two.

9:48 a.m.
Deputies arrested a man at Center Ridge Road for possession of drug paraphernalia following a response to a residence for a verbal altercation between a mother and son.

12:20 p.m.
Deputies arrested a man for public intoxication at a Cedar Grove Road residence.

2:11 p.m.
An Echols Road man reported the theft of a welder valued at $4,300.

Arrests

Friday, April 29

Christopher Anthony Holliman, 25, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for two counts of failure to appear.

Kevin Jamar Mitchell, 33, was arrested by Arkansas State Police for two counts of failure to appear, speeding and driving with a suspended license.

Saturday, April 30

Cormella Beard, 46, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and careless and prohibited driving.

Don Williams, 57, continued detention.

Sunday, May 1

Jesse Hamilton Black, 23, continued detention.

Nathan Ray Ward, 39, was arrested for public intoxication.

Durae Crittenden Ferguson, 37, was arrested for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

  1. Guess I’m a bit behind on signals, but what is an Alabama Hello? Got a cousin down there, but haven’t heard from him in years. Sounds like folks just need to behave and be respectful.
