LITTLE ROCK — The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will host Walk MS: Little Rock on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at North Shore Riverwalk Park in North Little Rock where an estimated 300 people are expected to raise more than $50,000.
Team captain Russell Strickland has this year raised a personal best of more than $39,000, and is just $700 shy of raising more than $600,000 in lifetime donations for the MS Society.
In 2022, Walk MS will be in-person for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic and is a unique opportunity for friends, loved ones and co-workers to gather and fundraise, connect and advocate for people affected by multiple sclerosis. Several protocols are being implemented to keep participants, volunteers, supporters and staff as safe as possible.
“Walk MS: Little Rock is ready to bring everyone together to raise awareness and funds for critical MS research, and celebrate advancements made to date,” says Christie Eckler, Executive Director of the National MS Society’s South Central Market. “We know that together, we are stronger and will drive progress to cure MS.”
