Washburn to speak in Benton

Republican gubernatorial candidate Doc Washburn will speak at the meeting of the Conservative Constitutional Patriots in Benton on Thursday, March 24, 2022, 6-8 p.m. The event will take place at Wood Grill Buffett, 1916 Congo Road, Benton.

Washburn, 66, of Little Rock, announced his candidacy on Feb. 7.

Formerly the host of a popular conservative radio talk show in central Arkansas, Washburn is widely known for his outspoken positions questioning covid mitigation policies at the state and federal levels, challenging the integrity of the 2020 presidential election, rejecting medical mandates, opposing abortion, opposing chemical gender change options for minors, supporting gun rights, affirming the rights of military veterans, and resisting the use of Critical Race Theory in public schools.

Since October 2021, Washburn has been the host of The Doc Washburn Show, a national podcast.
