Scott announces re-election bid for JP

Jenna Scott announced today that she will be seeking re-election as Justice of the Peace, District #7.  She has served as Justice of the Peace since January 2021.

Scott grew up in Arkadelphia and is a 1978 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She also graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Henderson State University in 1989. She returned to Arkadelphia in 2014, when she married Larry Cain. Together, she and Larry have four adult children and three grandchildren.

Scott currently serves as the Business Manager for Second Baptist Church in Arkadelphia, where she is responsible for the finances and facilities of the church. She also is a licensed insurance agent. Over the last 20 years, she has consulted on-site with companies in 18 different states, and assisted employees with their benefit packages.

“As Justice of the Peace, it has been important to me that promises made to the voters be kept,” Scott said. “In 2021, the voters were promised repeatedly that the Quorum Court would be responsible for the guidelines and accountability for the use of the Economic Development Sales Tax. I will continue to work hard to see that there is accountability for the use of these funds. We need to make sure these funds are spent wisely to promote the growth and development of business in Clark County. I will always work toward transparency and financial accountability as I continue to serve District #7 and all of Clark County.”
