After seeing a need for mental health services in Southwest Arkansas, Delight native Donna Morgan opened the doors to Arkadelphia Counseling and Therapy to offer another avenue to treat those suffering depression or battling addiction.
As a licensed practicing counselor, Donna’s motto is “Helping you be the best you can be.” The Morgans celebrated the grand opening of the clinic, located at 312 Professional Park Dr., this week with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Arkadelphia Alliance and Chamber of Commerce.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Henderson State University, then her line of work led her to Hot Springs and, eventually, Fort Smith. She chose Arkadelphia as the place to operate her practice to be closer to relatives. “I’ve missed my family a lot,” she said. “I just decided to come back home. This is a good location.”
Jerry, who run the clinic as business manager, said that when the two would visit Arkadelphia from Fort Smith they noticed a shortage of clinics that offered the services for mental health and saw a need to relocate. “One of our biggest goals is to make sure that everybody has access to good mental health therapy.”
Arkadelphia Counseling and Therapy offers all types of mental health services. “We treat anything from depression to addiction to any kind of mental health issues,” Jerry said.
Nikki Chandler, executive vice president of the Arkadelphia Alliance, welcomed the clinic to town. “With Arkadelphia Counseling and Therapy coming to town it fills a void here regarding mental health,” Chandler said. “There is no longer a stigma when it comes to mental health, so Donny and Jerry Morgan are here to help all of us. They are here at the right time for our community and we are so thankful for them.”
