ARKADELPHIA — The United Soccer Coaches organization has awarded a pair of Ouachita Baptist University women’s soccer players with all-region honors for the 2021 season.

Midfielder Jaymee Dotson and goalkeeper Michele Snow were both selected for the All-Region Second Team.

This is Dotson’s second all-region honor for 2021 after earning a spot on the first team by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association in the central region.

Both Dotson and Snow were All-Great American Conference First Team honorees this season. Dotson was also named the GAC Midfielder of the Year and a GAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete.

On the field this season, both were instrumental in Ouachita’s third consecutive winning season. The Tigers went 9-7-2 overall and 6-5-1 in GAC games.

Dotson has been an anchor for the Tigers for four straight seasons. She started all 17 games this year, logging 1,478 minutes with six goals and four assists. She was a unanimous selection to the All-GAC first team, her fourth straight first team selection. Her midfielder of the year award was also unanimous among the GAC’s head coaches.

Snow led the GAC and ranked 17th in the nation in save percentage this season at 86.3 percent. She also led the league and ranked seventh in the nation in total saves with 120. She posted five shutouts and was named the GAC goalkeeper of the week three times.

Both are returning for the Tigers in the 2022 season.
