Arkadelphia Parks and Recreation continues to create more athletic opportunities for adults. Starting December 2021, the department will host its first adult basketball league.
The coed league will play Monday nights from December 6, 2021 to January 17, 2022 at the Recreation Center. Teams of four will compete against one another throughout the season, finishing with a double-elimination tournament.

“This program gives adults in our area a designated time and space to come together, play some ball and have fun,” Mickey Bivens, Recreations Program Manager, says. “We’re excited to provide this service to our residents, and look forward to watching the league grow.”
Games will be played in a half-court, 3-on-3 format. At the end of the season, members of the winning team will receive new basketballs and duffle bags. Members of the team who finishes in second place will receive league t-shirts.

To participate, teams will need to pay a $150 registration fee online, or at the Recreation Center, by November 30, 2021.
Individual players are invited to join Parks and Recreation’s “Free Agent” list. Free agents will receive team assignments before the start of the season.
