The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Arkadelphia Police Department

Tuesday, Nov. 2
1:58 p.m.
A woman reported the theft of her purse she had accidentally left in a shopping cart before leaving Walmart. When she realized it was missing, she returned to the cart corral to find the purse gone. A $150 purchase was made using her debit card in the meantime.

3:45 p.m.
A Main Street man reported his roommate stole $15 in loose change and dollar bills.

9:27 p.m.
Officers arrested a Gurdon man for criminal mischief at a Cypress Court residence when a woman there reported her intoxicated friend was inside breaking items. Upon police arrival, the man had fallen to the kitchen floor, unable to get to his feet. During the arrest the man became combative with officers.

Officers opened a report involving a juvenile.

Monday, Nov. 1
12:35 p.m.
Police arrested a man at the 900 block of South 25th Street Circle for third-degree domestic battery following a verbal altercation that turned physical when the suspect jerked his girlfriend’s eyeglasses from her face and broke them, and in doing so caused abrasions to the woman’s forehead.

1:05 p.m.
The man arrested in the above report phoned officers to complain that his girlfriend broke the light bulb on his front porch and damaged his mailbox in an apparent temper tantrum because he wouldn’t open the door to let her in. She eventually left, then started sending him text messages threatening to have him arrested.

Thursday, Oct. 28
12:53 a.m.
A Pittman Road, Amity, man reported his female cousin drove off in his pickup truck.

Arrests

Monday, Nov. 1
Curtis Ray Calvin, 30, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for third-degree domestic battery.
Wilbert Johnson Jr., 33, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for failure to appear, driving with a suspended license and speeding.

Tuesday, Nov. 2
Ashley Michell Burton, 38, was arrested for a warrant.
Jessica Nancy Giles, 35, was arrested for a warrant.
Roderick Earnest Grey, 59, no charge listed.
Robert Lee Poe, 35, was arrested for failing a drug test.
Jeremy Duane Means, 39, no charge listed.
