The annual Gurdon Forest Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 30, with a slew of fun events lined up.
Throughout the event there will be free rides for children.


Beginning at 9 a.m. in downtown Gurdon will be a car show, followed by a parade at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m. there will be a log loader competition.
Live music by the Night Hawk Band will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Monster Mash Trunk or Treat with DJ Stanley at 4 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., Halloween costumes and hair-dos will take center stage with a costume contest and Best Mullet Contest.
Winding up the day’s events will be more live music from Mike Johnson and the Southern Express Band, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
