Dispatch Desk: Wednesday, Sept. 15

The following incidents were gathered from incident reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, Sept. 15
Midnight
Police arrested a Little Rock couple at Discount Tobacco, 2400 Pine St., for theft of property. Officers patrolling the area observed a white pickup parked behind the establishment and found two sign displays in the bed of the vehicle.

Monday, Sept. 13
Police responded to a third-degree domestic battery case involving a juvenile.

11:50 a.m.
A Carpenter Hill Apartments woman reported vandalism to her car. The suspect disconnected the throttle cable, poked a hole in the coolant reservoir and removed fuses.

2:33 p.m.
Officers were summoned to Road Runner, 3111 W. Pine St., where a customer drove off from a fuel pump with the nozzle still in his tank. The driver reported the incident to the clerk before driving off.

Tuesday, Sept. 14
3:21 a.m.
A Duncan Road, Gurdon, man reported his neighbor’s cows knocked down a fence on his property and destroyed his fruit trees and ate his own cattle feed. The responding deputy made contact with the neighbor’s father, who admitted the cows had been an ongoing nuisance, but were unable to talk to the cows’ owner.

9:42 a.m.
The owner of a logging company reported receiving harassing text messages from an employee who was terminated earlier this year.

Monday, Sept. 13
4:30 p.m.
On the way to a disturbance call at Mill Creek Loop, a deputy made contact with a person who had left the residence and made a stop at the junction of Highway 51 and Highway 7. The deputy got her side of the story, and no arrest was made.

Arrests

Tuesday, Sept. 14
Orsenio Hendrix, 35, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for third-degree domestic battery, endangering the welfare of a minor an public intoxication.
Mark Balentine, 46, was sentenced to 24 months to the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Julia Kidd, 20, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Wednesday, Sept. 15
Sophia Lee, 18, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for theft of property.
Charles Fournier, 18, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for theft of property.
Kevin Davis, 35, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
