They also collaborated with and mentored faculty on research projects, and presented to student groups on building leadership skills, conducted faculty workshops on balancing research and teaching, and provided a refresher on writing grant proposals.
Henderson State University students have nine new certificate programs to choose from, ranging from social media and digital media production, to special education resource and supply chain management.

Deputies responded to a car fire on Reynolds Road in Gum Springs. The unoccupied maroon Pontiac Grand Prix had a license plate that returned to a different vehicle. Curtis firefighters responded to the scene as well to extinguish the blaze.
“It’s just another option for residents to drop their tax payments off,” said Tina Martin, chief deputy collector. “This way, they don’t have to come inside” if worried about COVID-19.
