The Arkadelphia City Board of Directors on Tuesday, Oct. 20, will take up a decades-old ordinance regarding vicious dogs, as the city’s prosecutor is recommending an amendment to a 2007 ordinance outlining dog regulations. The current ordinance does not specifically address the immediate removal of dangerous dogs or address pit bulls in multi-family dwellings. A memo to directors says that has been an issue in recent incidents with dangerous dogs. The summer-like temperatures of late will come to a halt this weekend thanks to a cold front. Lows will be in the 30s. Following a cold front on Friday, the coldest temperatures of autumn thus far will be seen over much of Arkansas this weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
