A Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) is expected on Saturday afternoon, July 11, into the early morning hours on Sunday across a large portion of Arkansas, the National Weather Service in Little Rock said.
The main hazard will be damaging wind gusts, but a few storms may produce severe hail in excess of quarter-size.
Arkadelphia’s weekend forecast is calling for a hot Saturday, with a high near 93 and heat index values as high as 103, followed by a 50% chance of precipitation in the evening hours. Expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms early Sunday morning.
Rain and thunderstorm chances increase to 70% Sunday, with a high near 88 under otherwise partly sunny skies.
There are high chances of daily showers and thunderstorms through Tuesday.
Skies are expected to clear by Wednesday afternoon.
