Kenneth Hoyt “Buddy” Murrah, age 89, of Prescott, passed from this life on Monday, June 29, 2026, at his home. He was born February 23, 1937, in Prescott, the son of the late Alton Ray and Elizabeth Garrett Murah.
Buddy was a graduate of Laneburg High School. He retired from Potlatch and was a carpenter by trade. Buddy was a member of Prescott First Assembly of God Church where he served as a Deacon and former Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed working in his garden and collecting coins.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mary Allie Johnson.
Survivors are his wife of sixty-six years, Evelyn Tackette Murrah of Prescott, one daughter, Christi M. Johnson of Prescott, two sisters, Marcia Schultz (Jimmy) of Hot Springs and Ann Flatte of The Villages, FL, and one grandson, Joshua Canada of Ft. Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Prescott First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Jerry Hightower, Bro. Alan Womack and Bro. Chris Diehl officiating.
