Dale Allen Denton passed from this life on Friday, June 26, 2026, at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Dale was born on November 8, 1948, in Calexico, California, to the late Lloyd and Waldine Denton.
Dale began a career in the logging industry that would span more than 45 years. He would eventually establish Denton Logging Inc., a business he owned and operated with pride for decades. As a younger man, he enjoyed bird hunting and was an avid turkey hunter, a passion that would influence and be passed down to countless others. Dale loved working with livestock. Horses and mules were not just something he enjoyed, they were part of who he was. Raising strong, well-built colts became a favorite pastime, as he appreciated a horse with good conformation and a calm disposition. He had a deep appreciation for the Hancock and Driftwood bloodlines, valuing the strength, soundness, and temperament they consistently produced. He spent many days leading trail rides, riding in arena competitions, logging with his mules, or simply traveling the dirt roads of Dallas County behind two white faced mules. Those who knew him best would describe him as hard-working, a good provider for his family, a friend to many, and a neighbor to all. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Waldine Denton; his brothers, Bud Denton, Jerry Whitmer, Jimmy Denton, and Johnny Denton; and his daughter, Jennifer Daniell.
Dale is survived by his son, Mike (Dawn) Denton of Bryant; daughter, Jodie (Ken) Key of Sparkman; son, Lee (Lauren) Denton of Van Buren; son, Greg “Bear” (Brittney) Denton of Arkadelphia; sister, Lloydine (Irwin) Seale of Arkadelphia; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to everyone who has helped care for Dale and meet various needs over the last several years.
