An Ashdown woman was killed early Tuesday morning, June 23, 2026, in a collision with a train in Little River County.
According to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash summary, Beverly Redden stopped her 1995 Chevrolet van facing west on a railroad crossing at Arkansas Highway 108. Redden and the van were struck by a northbound train. Redden, 54, died at the scene.
The crash happened at 3:45 a.m., according to investigating Trooper Ian Nelson. Redden’s body was transported to Madden Funeral Home.
