Arkansas State Police say a Texarkana pedestrian was killed late Sunday in rural Columbia County.
According to a preliminary fatal crash summary, William H. Cobb, 78, was in the southbound lane of traffic on US Highway 371 when an unknown vehicle struck him. The report does not indicate which direction the vehicle was traveling.
The weather and roads were clear at the time of the incident, which happened at about 10:12 p.m. Sunday, June 7.
Cobb’s body was transported to R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia.
State Trooper Trey Williams is investigating the fatality.
