Clark County Retired Teachers awarded two scholarships to active teachers, Rebecca Ivy (Goza Middle School) and Anna-Mae Clark Wyatt (Peake Elementary School), to further their education.
CCRTA held a Memorial Service to remember five deceased Retired Teachers. They were Marie Gravett, Gary Hunter, Elizabeth Sharp, David Chitwood, and Pamala Harris. Their name was read, a bell was rung, a flower was placed in a vase, and members who knew them spoke about their lives.
The annual Cereal Drive with Channel 11 will take place Thursday, June 4, 2026, in front of Brookshire’s and sponsored by CCRTA. The members are spreading the word to start collecting breakfast items to bring them on June 4 to Brookshire’s. Channel 11 will be there from 6:30-10 a.m., but CCRTA members will collect items until noon before distributing them to the Clark County Food Pantries.
