Tony Bell

On April 1, 2026, Anthony “Tony” Ray Bell took his final breath on earth and his first breath in the arms of Jesus—a moment he had long hoped for and a promise he desired for everyone he encountered.

Tony was born on August 24, 1962, in Arkadelphia to Vera and Norman Bell. He loved his hometown deeply and found joy in the simple things—hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors across every corner of this county. Tony never met a stranger. He had a rare and beautiful gift for making everyone feel like family from the very first conversation.

Tony faithfully served his community through a 25-year career with Arkansas Farm Bureau. After retirement, he stepped into a new season of life alongside his wife and children at Fatboys Restaurant. There, his role was simple but powerful—welcoming people. The back right table became a place of laughter, storytelling, and even spiritual conversations. If you didn’t know Jesus, Tony would gladly introduce you.

A man of deep faith, Tony attended Third Street Baptist Church, where he served on the praise team. Worship was woven into his life. He loved to sing and spent years sharing that gift with others. One of his most cherished memories was singing in a quartet alongside his father, Norman, and his uncle, Horace. Tony passed this love of music and worship down to his children, always encouraging them to honor the Lord with their gifts.

Tony was also a proud member of the Arkadelphia Masonic Lodge. He valued the fellowship, brotherhood, and principles it represented, and he carried those values with him throughout his life.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Bell, Ray Arnold, Vera Arnold, and Brenda Bell.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila, and his five children: Ashley Brosh (Colorado), Lindsey Crowder (Michael) of Arkadelphia, Nicole Brosh of Arkadelphia, Joseph Brosh of Arkadelphia, and Mallory Bagwell (Brett) of Bryant.

His greatest joy in life was his grandchildren—Maddox, Dawson, Mia, Lia Grace, Halle Kate, Truett, and his special grandson Griffin Collins—each of whom brought immeasurable pride and happiness to his life.

Tony is also survived by his brothers, Mike Bell (Bethany), Tim Bell (Missie), a special brother, John Hardman (Nancy) all of Arkadelphia; his sister, Tiffany Bell of Arkadelphia; and a circle of lifelong friends.

Tony’s life was marked by love, laughter, unwavering faith, and a heart for people. His legacy will live on through every life he touched, every conversation he started, and every person he welcomed as family. He had a deep love for Jesus, and it was reflected in how he loved the ones he held closest. What he believed is what he genuinely embodied as a person.
