Brookshire’s launches donation campaign to fuel Arkansas Food Banks

Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) is launching a new donation program in its Arkansas stores to help support local hunger relief organizations.

From March 11–17, 2026, customers shopping in BGC stores in Arkansas will have the opportunity to support their local food banks by either rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donating $1, $5, or $10 at checkout.

All funds raised will stay local, benefitting Arkansas Foodbank and Harvest Regional Food Bank, organizations that work every day to provide meals and resources to families and individuals experiencing food insecurity across the state.

“Caring for our communities is at the heart of everything we do,” said Jerry LeClair, Interim CEO at Brookshire Grocery Co. “Our customers have always been incredibly generous when it comes to helping neighbors in need. This program gives them another easy opportunity to make a difference. These small donations at checkout can quickly add up to meaningful support for our food bank partners and the families they serve.”

The company said in a news release that it has a longstanding commitment to fighting hunger and supporting the communities it serves through food bank partnerships, product donations and customer giving campaigns throughout the year. The donation campaign builds on those efforts by making it simple for customers to contribute at checkout.

“At BGC, we are dedicated to making a difference in our stores and the communities we serve,” the company said. “Our community involvement program assists thousands of nonprofit organizations that support its primary causes of hunger relief, education, family health and wellbeing, and military heroes and first responders.”
