This is a paid political announcement from the campaign to elect Bill Rogers for Clark County Judge
Bill Rogers is a born and raised resident of Clark County. His faith has consistently shaped the way he has learned to live, work and treat others. Bill believes that true leadership is rooted in Christian values – Loving God, loving and serving people, striving to do what is right even when it’s hard, and being a good steward of what God has entrusted to him. He has been a member of Third Street Baptist Church for 40 years.
Many are familiar with Bill through his involvement in the Arkadelphia Passion Play where he portrayed the role of Jesus for ten years. This experience deeply strengthened his understanding of servant leadership, humility, and compassion. Bill feels blessed to have personal relationships with countless residents of the county who can speak to his character and commitment to integrity, fairness, and transparency.
For 32 years, Bill has owned and operated his auto repair business, AutomoBill’s, Inc, where he daily practices honesty, responsibility, accountability and taking care of people in need. As one of Jack and Estene Rogers’ 16 children, Bill is thankful to have been raised with an extraordinarily strong work ethic; something he has carried throughout his life. He has been voted many times as the People’s Choice for Arkadelphia’s favorite auto repair technician and was honored as Businessman of the Year.
He also oversees and works to protect his lifelong residential community as chief of the Hollywood Fire Department.
Together with his wife of 36 years, Denise, he owns and manages clean, affordable rental properties in Clark County and enjoys a small cattle operation at his home. Overseeing these operations has given Bill real-world experience with budgets, contracts, grant writing, and managing employees – skills he believes are essential for handling taxpayer needs and their dollars with wisdom and honor.
Service has always been a part of Bill’s life, having been Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Clark County Farm Bureau board member for many years. As a trained first responder, he is an active participant of and teaches classes for the National Search and Rescue Association. Bill also serves as the appointed Deputy Director for Clark County’s Office of Emergency Services. Years of emergency responses and his wrecker service offered through AutomoBill’s have afforded Bill firsthand, extensive exposure and infrastructure knowledge of roads across Clark County.
His phone rings a lot, often in the middle of the night or in the wee hours of mornings. As he is towing stranded travelers, racing to urgent medical needs, managing fires with a hose in his own hands, or just clearing fallen trees to get traffic moving again, he takes note of areas and roads in the county that often go unseen. He is familiar with the needs of many residents and looks forward to an open-door policy in the judge’s office to learn more. He is also skilled at operating and repairing heavy equipment and is quite accustomed to assessing situations while collaborating to find solutions.
After encouragement from others and much prayer, Bill is now seeking to assume the role of Clark County Judge in January, 2027. He firmly believes God has called him to serve in this broad and vast way – continuing to work alongside county and city leaders to help Clark County move forward, strengthen its communities and care for its people.
Bill brings practical, intellectual, boots-on-the-ground experience to county leadership.
When asked if he feels intimidated by the large learning curve this new, professional opportunity would bring, Bill replied, “I think most all county judges have likely gone into that office from an entirely different profession, and I can’t imagine any of them began their new role as judge with a complete feeling of familiarity. That seems impossible with this particular job, so I’d say I am more eager than anxious to learn all the responsibilities of a great one.
“I’m grateful for all I’ve learned, especially about finances, in three decades of business ownership. I think anyone breathing knows that growth never happens INSIDE a person’s comfort zone. You’ve also got to be willing to burn a lot of midnight oil. My health is good and I have a lot of years ahead of me. I am absolutely ready to give it everything I’ve got! I’m not afraid to learn and I’ve got the work ethic to do it. Momma and Daddy made sure of that with all their kids. My wife, a retired educator with a master’s degree in counseling, reminded me that her first year on the job after college graduation felt like ‘baptism by fire’, but said she wouldn’t change the fact that her degrees on the wall didn’t even come close to preparing her for the tasks ahead, like she had expected them to do. To me, that makes perfect sense because all my skills learned over the last 62 years are products of the best teacher: EXPERIENCE.”
First and foremost, Bill is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His two sons and daughters-in-law, Josh (Kamela) and Justin (Candy) have given him the precious earthly gift of being Papaw to Will, Quincie, Katherine, and Eli.
Bill is very hopeful to be your next Clark County Judge and invites you to stop by AutomoBill’s (behind Walmart) or call him (870-230-2660) with any concerns or suggestions you have for the county. If you’d like to help with Bill’s campaign costs, please feel free to use the donation link provided.
